Baby Lohse and Nursery
Here is Baby Lohse at 19.5 weeks. It's a head profile with an arm and hand above it. Baby is now over 21 weeks. I started feeling little thumps in my belly at 16 weeks 5 days. Those have now turned into stronger acrobatics, which are about the most wonderful thing I have ever experienced. Sometimes, I cry because it is so amazing.
We have come up with good name options for either a boy or a girl...but that will remain a secret until the day! Until then, still Baby Lohse, which we think has a nice ring to it anyway.

I think an ocean theme will be fun to decorate around, and there are enough colors in it that we could make it look more feminine with some accents if it's a girl.
The mobile has nice music as well as ocean waves, and rather than just rotating in a circle, moves back and forth and rotates some. It's a little hard to tell the actual colors in the pictures, but the sheet is aqua green. Wheat looks like yellow around the dolphins is actually a light green as well.
And, here is the nursery as a whole. I love the view I will get rocking the baby in this room! The windows on the left look out over the ball stadiums, shipping yards, Puget Sound, and the Olympic mountains. Through the windows on the right is the Seattle downtown skyline. Not being from the city, I actually now find it beautiful!
The rocker is also a recliner, and it's microfiber, so it should be easy to clean "stuff" off of it:) To complete the furniture, I still need to find a shelf to go next to the doorway behind the chair. The books and toys I have found at consignment shops and been given still need a better home, but I like having them out where I can look at them. I guess it's all part of nesting...

Baby Lohse
Picture of Baby Lohse at 11 weeks, now 16 weeks 4 days!
Matt and I are super excited to welcome Baby Lohse #1 in August! My biggest anticipation right now is to feel the baby move.
Matt and I are super excited to welcome Baby Lohse #1 in August! My biggest anticipation right now is to feel the baby move. Before we will be ready, however, there is still a lot to do. Today, I am organizing things to make more room in the house. It's going to be a bit snug, so I am looking into ways to store things more efficiently, such as under the bed and on the walls.
In between daily chores and work, I am finding some time to read. I am currently reading The Womanly Art of Breastfeeding by the La Leche League.
