About Me

Amy: The middle of seven children, I was raised by two wonderful parents on a farm/ranch in Texas. Wanting to be a nurse, I volunteered with hospice, worked as a nursing assistant at a nursing home, and took a first responder course in high school. After graduating from Oklahoma Baptist University in May of 2006, I took my first job as an RN working on a trauma/general surgery unit at Mayo in Rochester, Minnesota. A year and a half later, I transitioned to the intensive care float staff. A little over a year later, I stopped my job, went to Africa for six weeks of medical work, married Matt, and moved to Seattle for his residency in general surgery! Life does have its twists and turns, and we look forward to seeing how God leads us together.
